Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Protective Spray: I’ve gone through so many bottles of these. I always dry my hair with a hair dryer after washing in the mornings otherwise it would take too long to dry, so I use this before applying that heat. I like that it makes my hair a little bit softer afterwards when dry and it doesn’t feel like there is anything left in my hair, but other than that there are overt differences. But it’s like sunscreen… the effects of “less damage” is not always obvious but I like to think it is doing something to protect against heat damage. I also like it because it’s so cheap and I don’t like to spend so much on my hair. That’s a reason, right?
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream: This is very much the “typical” cream. It’s got that nice light but creamy texture, absorbs nicely into the skin and is lightly moisturising but not greasy. It’s great for day time but personally I would prefer something more hydrating during the nights. I still liked it enough and thought it was decent value for the larger size. However, the larger size means it takes a long time to use up, which isn’t ideal with that packaging. It got a bit dry and crusty towards the end. Overall I did really enjoy this simple moisturiser, but I’m unlikely to repurchase any time soon.
Shiseido The Skincare Day Moisture Protection SPF 15: I’ve had this for too many years and finally made myself finish it recently. I tried most of Shiseido’s “The Skincare” line and this one I liked the least. The packaging and pump mechanism meant I had no idea how much product was left (plus it is so unecessarily bulky). The texture is runny, but leaves a slight greasy finish (that you get from sunscreen) on the skin without feeling like it was hydrating or moisturising my skin. Disappointing product.
